This whistle makes a nice mellow sound. It encourages grading of air flow because small changes in air flow produce changes in tone and volume. Requires some controlled lip placement to avoid covering whistle hole. You can pretend the train is beginning to leave the station with slow toots and then pick up speed as the train leaves the station!

Comes with a 'Strategy Card' that teaches you exactly how to use the whistle to strenthen muscles and work on oral positioning for speech sounds. Our whistles are hand picked!

The shape and size of the mouth piece allows children to work on tongue placement for specific sounds for speech development. The child will learn lip closure techniques-- the same mouth movements used to say certain vowels and consonant sounds. The 'Strategy Card' tells gives detailed information about which sounds are being practiced given the shape of the whistle.
